Light Up A Life Candlelit Procession and Service

Light up a life is a very special community event taking place before Christmas. It is a time to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one. This event is open to everyone in our community and a previous connection to the hospice is not necessary.
This year we will have an impressive tree located directly outside county hall. A Light will be shining on the Christmas tree for every family member and loved one who is remembered through the Light up a Life appeal. The tree will remain lit until the 6th of January.
A candlelit procession will follow the completion of the main service outside the Town Hall. We would ask you to join us in a candlelit procession along Week Street to our Christmas Tree that will be located outside county hall. The Christmas tree will be blessed by our Chaplain and during the singing of ‘Now light 1000 Christmas lights’ the hospice tree will be lit.
A Book of Remembrance will be blessed and remain open throughout Christmas, during church opening times, where your loved one’s name can be written together with your own words of remembrance. The times will be confirmed to you when your donation is acknowledged and the book will be located in All Saints Church in Maidstone.
Special candles for the procession can be purchased on the night at £2.
