Corporate Go Karting with Bizlinx

Bizlinx members will be hosting a corporate charity event at Buckmore Park on Thursday March 13th 2008 and are challenging businesses to take part. This fun packed corporate day was the brainchild of Lis Joyce from Balreed Digitec Ltd and Julie Anderson of RAP Office Contracts. They have said “The board members invite a charity to support to the board in each area they serve, and this event will show how seriously they take their commitment to ‘give something back to the community’.
Companies around West Kent and Medway can take part even if they are not a current board member. Each company must purchase a kart for £280 and put together a team of six. They also pledge to raise a further £1,000 in sponsorship support. The team members will then race around the track for 30 mins each in order for the team to win the day. This will be a challenging, fun and adrenalin pumping day and could be a great way to enjoy a team building exercise. Buckmore Park will provide a race organiser who will set the challenges and will be looking for those breaking the rules to be fined! So watch out all those breaking the speed limit!
The event will raise funds for two charities, The Heart of Kent Hospice and Demelza children’s hospice. The target set by the Bizlinx board is a fantastic £30K to be raised for the day. Bizlinx is beyond networking and unlike any other forum you have previously seen. Bixlinx helps higher worth white collar, high tech and entrepreneurial businesses build profitable strategic alliances with each other and work in master minding classes to always be pushing the boundaries of best practice and to increase the profits of all member companies.
The underlying philosophy is to ‘bring the outside world into your business’ a group of ten to twenty businesses work together in various areas and act as if they were non-executive directors of each others businesses.
