Faced with the news that they themselves or a loved one has a terminal illness, people can often struggle with an array of emotions. It helps to talk through these feelings and at Heart of Kent Hospice, we not only have trained counsellors for our patients and their loved ones but also offer spiritual care and support.

Our Chapel is open 24/7 and a regular service is held every Monday by one of our Chaplaincy team. Church congregations from the local community hold services in our Garden room every Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm which patients and families are welcome to attend. In addition, we have a multi-faith room, the Olive Tree room, which is also available 24/7 for quiet reflection and meditation.

Our spiritual, religious and pastoral care is here for everyone. And whether you have a faith or not, our team are happy to help you explore your emotions and feel more at peace.  There is at least one member of the Chaplaincy team in the Hospice every day and when they are not visiting our Inpatient Unit, they can be found talking to our visiting patients and their families in and around the café.

If you would like to see someone from your own religious community or church, our Chaplains work closely with clergy and faith leaders from across the local community and can try to arrange for them to visit you and your family while you are an inpatient or in your own home.
