Making Memories is an eight-week programme which people with dementia and their carers attend together. Each day includes cognitive stimulation activities which help to keep the brain active. Throughout the programme there are also wellbeing sessions and guest speakers introducing useful local services. Some of the sessions are designed specifically for carers who meet separately while their loved ones are cared for in a safe, supported environment.
The day ends when everyone comes back together for a social lunch and an opportunity to share experiences with others on the programme.
