Making Memories© is a six-week programme which people with dementia and their carers attend together. Each day includes cognitive stimulation activities which help to keep the brain active. Throughout the programme there are also wellbeing sessions which can include men/women working in sheds and guest speakers introducing useful local services. During each session there is the opportunity for informal training for carers who meet separately while their loved ones are cared for in a safe, supported environment.

The day includes a social lunch and an opportunity to share experiences with others on the programme.

‘’Fantastic, amazing, hugely supportive, life saving for mum and me.’’

‘’Care and support when we were on our last legs.’’

"It is brilliant, this will keep more dementia patients at home and out of care homes as it gives the carers more emotional and practical help and support to keep them going.’’
