Everything you need to know about Light up a Life Remembrance Service, Aylesford Priory

When you arrive, you will be welcomed to The Friars by our volunteers who will give you an Order of Service. You can then make your way to the Shrine for the service. The service will starts at 4:30pm and last approximately one hour, during which time you can enjoy festive music, readings and a procession of our wonderful Hospice staff.

Parking: There is parking available at The Friars and the venue is only a five-minute taxi ride from Aylesford station – though we would strongly recommend pre-booking. Please note - we expect the Friars to be extremely busy so please arrive in plenty of time as we cannot delay the service.

Wrap up warm: The event will be held outside, so please wrap up warm. We will have a limited number of hand warmers for sale at £2 each and it’s also worth bringing a cushion, as the wooden seats in the Shrine at Aylesford Priory can be a little hard.

Items to buy: A variety of items and gifts can be purchased at the event. These will include hand warmers and battery-operated candles. Also, for the first time ever, we have brand new baubles, tea light holders and flashing wands for little ones. These can be purchased with cash or card at the event.

To help us prepare for the event, please let us know if you would like to attend by contacting the Fundraising Team on 01622 790195 or email us at fundraising@hokh.co.uk. Similarly, if you would like to make a donation or dedicate a star in memory of a loved one, please click HERE
