Date: 9th June 2018
The Garden, Heart of Kent Hospice, Preston Hall, Aylesford Kent, ME20 7PU
The loss of someone special is one of the hardest things any of us have to face. The care we provide continues in the months and even years after a loved one has passed away. Remembering those we’ve lost is an important part of the journey.
Every year we encourage those who have lost someone dear to them to celebrate their life by dedicating a sunflower and making a donation to the Hospice in their memory. The sunflowers are placed in our Hospice garden, where you can come and see them and remember your loved one during our remembrance event on 9th June between 11am and 1pm. It’s always so moving to see them fondly inscribed with the names of individuals who are cherished and very much alive in the memories of their family and friends.
Losing someone we love can be so lonely and isolating, and the Sunflower Appeal is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their life and remember all the happy times that you have shared together.
The Sunflower Appeal is such an uplifting and positive way to celebrate the life of someone special and to ensure that the Hospice can continue to support families coping with the loss of someone dear to them. With your support we can provide vital emotional, psychological, spiritual and practical support to individuals, children and families affected by terminal illness, bereavement and grief.
