Date: 8th June 2019
Heart of Kent Hospice, Preston Hall, Aylesford, Kent. ME20 7PU
For prospective and existing volunteers, our coffee morning is a chance to find out about the valuable contribution volunteers make by giving the gift of time regularly and on an ad hoc basis.
We know from speaking to our existing volunteers that doing good, does you good! As complimentary therapist volunteer Janet (pictured) says, “If you’re not sure, give it a go. It’s truly amazing how helping others makes you feel.” Existing volunteers are invited to come along and share their volunteering experiences with attendees.
For prospective volunteers we have a variety of roles across all departments. These enable volunteers to revive existing skills or learn new ones;
providing excellent customer service in our hospice cafe and 14 shops
supporting patients and their families in their own homes or on our 10 bed Inpatient Unit
helping raise funds at our Hospice events
delivering Living Well sessions,provide office administration support
help spread the word about our outstanding Hospice
We are keen to meet everyone especially those who would like to work with our patients and their families, drive patients from their home to the Hospice for Living Well sessions and to work in our shops.
