At Heart of Kent Hospice we have a reputation for delivering first-class training to other health and social care professionals, including the NHS, care homes, the voluntary sector and local authorities.
We are committed to sharing best practice to help raise standards of end-of-life care, so that every person with a terminal illness in our catchment area has the support they and their family needs, whether they are a patient of ours or under someone else’s care.
This has not changed because of the coronavirus pandemic. With the exception of Placement days, we continue to offer all of our workshops and courses which, for the time being, will be run through live Zoom sessions and e-learning. We are not able to offer Placement days for the foreseeable future.
All of our courses are planned and facilitated by our team of clinical or community specialists and include a range of learning approaches including theory, discussion, reflection and participation.
If you would like to know the cost or have any questions about the courses, or if you would like to register your interest for future dates or arrange bespoke training, please contact Jackie Pritchard, Head of Education and Development on 01622 792200 ext 217 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or Geraldine Guiver, Practice Development Nurse on 01622 792200 ext 216 email@example.com
In response to the immense pressure on care homes by the coronavirus, we created a free programme of support for those working in the sector. The first sessions have finished but if your care home would like to receive this training, please follow this link for more information.
