At Heart of Kent Hospice we have a reputation for delivering first-class training to other health and social care professionals, including the NHS, care homes, the voluntary sector and local authorities.

We are committed to sharing best practice to help raise standards of end-of-life care, so that every person with a terminal illness in our catchment area has the support they and their family needs, whether they are a patient of ours or under someone else’s care.

All of our courses are planned and facilitated by our team of clinical or community specialists and include a range of learning approaches including theory, group work, discussion, reflection and participation.

If you would like to know the cost or have any questions about the courses, or if you would like to register your interest for future dates or arrange bespoke training or placement days, please contact Jackie Pritchard, Head of Education and Development on 01622 792200 ext 217 or email jackie.pritchard@hokh.co.uk

Courses held at Heart of Kent Hospice take place at its Monckton Education Centre adjacent to the main building in Aylesford.

The following end-of-life skills courses need to be booked by calling Jackie Pritchard directly.

In response to the immense pressure on care homes by the coronavirus, we have created a free programme of support for those working in the sector. Follow this link for more information.
