The Hospice is looking for volunteers to join its’ Patient and Carer Engagement group which acts as a voice for patients, carers and families, providing feedback on their Hospice experience.
Members of the group meet at the Hospice every eight weeks for two hours, and membership is open to all Hospice patients, their carers, families and bereaved relatives.
“All the care we give is personalised and individual. We need to understand the Hospice experience so that it may be adapted or improved to ensure we are able to deliver highly responsive care and support to our patients and their families now and in the future.” explains Kerry Harrison, Director of Patient Services.
As a member of the group you will; take part in initiatives to help recognise areas for improvement and celebrate what is done well, assist in the content and development of patient information for newsletters, Hospice leaflets and literature which is accessible, user-friendly and appropriate for patients and their families.
