This week is Dying Matters week, an opportunity to come together with communities across the country and discuss the importance of death, dying and bereavement. We would like to share Martha and Leanne's story with you.

When Martha was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, she was referred to Heart of Kent Hospice who were able to offer advice, support and care to Martha, and her family. In this video, her wife Leanne shares their story. Through the care and support they received, the whole family were able to create precious memories together before Martha died.

Leanne says: "You never really know how long you've got. The Hospice enabled us to talk about having adventures, making sure that we could make the most of our time together.

"I think what it would help people to know is that the Hospice isn't about dying, it's about enabling you to live with the time that you've got left."

Thank you to Leanne and family for allowing us to share Martha's story.
