When Martha was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, she was referred to Heart of Kent Hospice who were able to offer advice, support and care to Martha, and her family. In this video, her wife Leanne shares their story. Through the care and support they received, the whole family were able to create precious memories together before Martha died.
Leanne says: "You never really know how long you've got. The Hospice enabled us to talk about having adventures, making sure that we could make the most of our time together.
"I think what it would help people to know is that the Hospice isn't about dying, it's about enabling you to live with the time that you've got left."
Thank you to Leanne and family for allowing us to share Martha's story.
The care the Hospice provides is free and as a charity, it is only through your generosity that families like like Martha and Leanne's receive the support they need. Your donation today will make a difference - https://www.hokh.org/donation-appeal/
