This week we are spending time thanking our local community, whose generosity means we can be there for terminally ill people and their families when they most need our specialist care and support.
The ongoing kindness and generosity means so much to our patients and their families and the whole Hospice team are so grateful.
This year we are celebrating our 30th anniversary, and that is thanks to everyone who has contributed to making our services possible. Through your kind donations over the last two years you have enabled us find new and novel ways to allow patients and their families to access our care.
Since we first opened in 1991, your support has enabled over 50,000 local people – patients, their families and carers, to be supported by Heart of Kent Hospice. Today, over 900 patients and their loved ones receive the best possible compassionate and expert care every day, whether in the Hospice, in the community or in their own homes.
The last 18 months have been a tough and unexpected challenge for all of us, but throughout we've seen remarkable kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. It’s been the greatest challenge we've faced as a local charity, but because of your support we’ve been able to continue to be there for terminally ill people at one of the most challenging times in their lives.
As a local charity we are here for our community and because of our community. Together we’ve continued to make a difference and together we will continue to be there for the next 30 years and beyond.
