Our Living Well programme of free and enjoyable activity and therapeutic sessions is being expanded this autumn to give even more choice to patients, their families and carers. From arts and craft to exercise and relaxation, these short sessions are designed to enhance comfort, health and happiness. Specialist advisers and visiting speakers will also be giving helpful information on topics such as nutrition, fatigue and symptom control.
Living Well sessions take place each week at Magnolia Place (the Living Well ‘hub’), at Heart of Kent Hospice in Aylesford. In this bright, friendly and open space, patients and their carers can socialise and benefit from complementary therapies in a relaxing and informal environment. They can also speak to consultants, nurses, therapists and health care assistants. As with all of our services, we give patients the choice to be cared for and supported when and where it is right for them. We’ve been working hard this year to develop the programme, making links with services in the local community.
