It can often be an isolating and lonely experience for patients and their families coping with a life limiting illness. The Drop-In is available for hospice patients that are independant, their carers and family members and offers mutual support from other patients and their carers and family members. It can be a place for serious conversations, laughter & support. For some, the Drop-In is a place to call into occasionally when support is needed and for others it is where lifelong friendships are made.
The Drop-In team is also able to offer support, to listen and to be alongside you during any challenges that you may face. Patients should be self-caring as we are unable to provide nursing support at the Drop-In.
Services available at the Drop-In:
• Welfare Advice • Reflexology • A listening ear & support • Monthly relaxation sessions • Access to the Community Nursing Team
The Drop-in is open every Monday (except for Bank Holiday’s) from 10am - 12.30pm at the Hospice. There is no need to book for Drop-in, patients and their carers can just turn up on the day.
