Following the decision to postpone the Brighton Marathon in light of the COVID-19 outbreak we understand that this will affect and disappoint our runner supporters immensely. You will be contacted by Brighton Marathon Weekend regarding your next steps but here is a quick breakdown of the facts regarding your place thus far:
We are extremely grateful that you have been working tirelessly to fundraise and really hope that you can continue with your marathon journey. Our dedication and support to you remains the same; we hope that this unfortunate delay drives you to keep on fundraising until the event in September. The money you have fundraised to date is vitally important to us. Whilst we do not yet know what the impact of COVID-19 is going to be on the Hospice, we do know that despite this virus, there continues to be over 800 local people who we are supporting and they will continue to be dependent on us for our skilled, compassionate and specialist end-of-life care. If you do have any donors who wish to have their donations refunded please contact email@example.com in order for this to be organised.
Got your own place? If you have already been awarded a ballot place in the Brighton Marathon then you can still join the Heart of Kent team as an own place runner. You get to set your own fundraising target and still get the support from Heart of Kent Hospice.
If you would like to be an own place runner for Heart of Kent Hospice then complete the Own Place Application Form and set up your fundraising page HERE to get you started!
You can find the Own Place booking form in the ‘Event downloads’ section at the bottom of this webpage.
If you would like a sponsorship form please contact Emma Greenwood on Tel 01622 790195.
