The Heart of Kent Hospice Lottery takes place every Friday and is open to all residents of Great Britain aged 18 years old or over. Each £1 entry gives you the chance of winning one of a number of cash prizes.
It is a fantastic way to support local people living with a terminal illness while being in with the chance to win cash prizes every week.
Our lottery exists for the sole purpose of raising funds to support our work, and all profits from the lottery are donated directly to Heart of Kent Hospice.
By playing the lottery for just £1 per week, you are supporting terminally ill people and their families in your local community. You are helping them to achieve the best quality of life for the time they have left and helping their families to receive the support they need now and after their loved one has gone.
Each entry into the Heart of Kent Hospice Lottery costs £1.
You can buy a maximum of 20 entries to our weekly lottery.
A randomly selected game number is issued to you with the confirmation of entry. While you cannot choose your own numbers, you can request an alternative game number at any time and this will be issued providing that it has not already been allocated to another player.
Every week you play the Heart of Kent Hospice Lottery, you have a chance of winning cash prizes ranging from the Jackpot of £1,000, a rollover prize of up to £10,000, one prize of £50 or 20 prizes of £10
Unsold numbers are added to the draw for the rollover prize each week. This prize is won if a sold number is picked, or rolled over if an unsold number is drawn. If unsold numbers are continuously picked, the rollover could build up to an incredible £10,000!
All winners will be notified by phone and post, and then automatically sent a cheque, so please ensure we have your correct address. We also display the winning numbers on our winners’ page.
Between 1 April 2022 and 31 March 2023, we raised £311,000 from ticket sales in our weekly lottery. In the same period our operating costs were £139,000. This was made up of 30.54% on prizes and 14.15% on lottery administration and expenses. A fantastic 55.31% was used to fund the vital work of our Hospice. We are on course to raise a similar amount between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024.
Your chances of winning one of the lottery prizes can be calculated by dividing the number of lottery numbers in the draw that week by the number of prizes offered (usually 23 including the rollover prize). To find out how many lottery numbers are in the draw, check our latest lottery results page on Friday. In the year ending March 2020 the average number of lottery numbers in the weekly draw was 6,509. This means that players had, on average, a 1 in 6509 chance of winning the top prize and a 1 in 270 chance of winning any of the 23 prizes offered each week.
