Heart of Kent Hospice was founded by our local community to support people living with a terminal illness, and our volunteers provide vital skills and energy across all areas. By volunteering your time you’ll be helping us to meet the growing demand for our Hospice services in our local community and make a valuable contribution and real difference to the lives of those we support. Whether you can offer a few hours a fortnight, a regular half a day a week or would be interested in supporting a short-term project, there are many ways for you to give us your time, skills and energy.
Our volunteer opportunities are vast, flexible and fall across all areas of the Hospice. We have a range of opportunities on our Volunteer vacancies page, but if you have a particular skill or interest that may be beneficial to the Hospice then we would love to hear from you.
Here are a few of the reasons individuals volunteer for us:
- To learn new skills
- To gain work experience for their CV
- To meet people and make new friends
- To do something rewarding with their spare time
- To share their skills with others
- To keep active
- To support an important local cause
