Why Volunteer for us

Volunteering can be very rewarding and offers a chance to make a difference. It can also be a valuable way of giving something back to your local community. By volunteering, you can learn new skills, meet new people, add balance and variety to your CV, enhance your life and have fun.

There are a variety of different ways you can volunteer for Heart of Kent Hospice:

Ward Helper on the Inpatient Unit

Assisting in Magnolia Place outpatient centre

Hospice Reception

Coffee Shop – either in the Hospice or at our local cafe

Charity shop assistant (we currently have 15 shops)

Event Helper

Charity Pot Collector

Counselling within our Family Services Team

Bereavement Group Support

Driving and escorting patients to outpatient services

Activity volunteers – preparing and delivering activities such as arts and crafts and hobbies

Complementary Therapy

Gardening

Maintenance

Administration support

Hospice Ambassador

Hospice Choir
