Whether you are an individual, a trust or foundation, making a large donation to Heart of Kent Hospice is a great way to be a part of shaping the future of Hospice care for patients and their families within Maidstone, Aylesford, Tonbridge and Malling and the surrounding local communities.
It costs over £4 million a year to run the Hospice, with the majority coming from the generous local community. Larger donations can make a big difference. Here are just a few ways your donations can help:
£5,200 could provide the costs of an average stay for a patient on the Inpatient Unit
£20,000 could pay for a bed on the Inpatient Unit for nearly six weeks
£55,000 could fund a Community Nurse Specialist nurse for a year
£79,000 could run our Day Therapy services for 14 days
Donations from Individuals
Making a large gift is a big decision and we would welcome the opportunity to show you first hand the difference your support can make.
Visits can be arranged at your convenience to meet with the Chief Executive to discuss ways in which your gift will help. Whether it is a single large donation or a pledge over a period of years, every pound helps us to make a difference.
If you would like to talk to someone about making a large donation, please contact Sarah Pugh, Chief Executive on 01622 792200 or Ann-Marie Kelly, Director of Income Generation on 01622 790195.
Donations from trusts and foundations
Heart of Kent Hospice greatly relies on the support of grant makers such as trusts and foundations to maintain and enrich our specialist end of life care services, which are free of charge to patients and their families.
