Counselling support

Counselling enables you to express your thoughts and feelings in a safe space, you will be supported to explore these in some depth and helped to consider ways that may help you cope during this time.

Counselling enables you to express your thoughts and feelings in a safe space.

It’s completely understandable that you and your loved ones will experience a range of emotions after receiving a life-limiting diagnosis. Whether you’re feeling sad, angry, confused, or depressed, you are not alone in your feelings.

Counselling is a confidential regular appointment for a number of weeks, usually on a 1:1 basis.  It can be face to face, online or on the phone. We will support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and behaviours at some depth to help you cope during this time.

To find out more about our counselling services you can ask our Family Support Team for the details by calling 01622 792200 or emailing fst@hokh.co.uk

Emergency support

We do not offer 24/7 crisis mental health support. If you need urgent help for your mental health please either call 999 in an emergency or call 111 and select option 2. Alternately you can also call Samaritans for free on 116 123. All of these services are open 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Bereavement support

Don’t brush it off.  Be open-minded, give it a go and see what happens.  I wouldn’t be where I am today without it and the support of my family. The Hospice staff are very focused on everybody, they’re so kind and caring.
