Our incredible supporters raise money in so many ways — bake sales, sponsored runs, head shaves, knitting projects, paddle boarding, or setting up a birthday fundraiser instead of receiving cards or gifts.

Start by thinking about what you enjoy doing.
The best fundraising ideas often come from the things you already love or know well.
As your ideas take shape, things like venue, space, and the number of people involved will help guide your plans.
Set a goal
Give yourself something exciting to work towards.
Choose a goal that excites you, even if it feels ambitious.
Share it with friends and family and invite them along for the journey. They’ll love helping you reach your target and celebrating when you get there!

And finally, share your story!
You're the heart of this fundraiser - no one can tell your story better than you can.
Tell people what inspired you, why it matters, and what their donation will actually do. Then go and spread the word - posters, social media, even your local paper!
Keep supporters in the loop with photos and updates along the way, and consider asking your employer if they'd be willing to match your total with a corporate donation. Every bit counts!

Make your donation go even further by adding Gift Aid
If your supporters are UK taxpayers, their donations could be worth 25% more if they choose to add Gift Aid.
All you need to do when collecting donations or sponsorship is to encourage your supporters to tick the Gift Aid box during their online donation checkout or sponsorship form.
