Learn with us

At Heart of Kent Hospice we have a reputation for delivering first-class training to other health and social care professionals, including the NHS, care homes, the voluntary sector and local authorities.

Our mission is to improve end-of-life care for our community.

We are committed to sharing best practice to help raise standards of end-of-life care, so that every person with a terminal illness in our catchment area has the support they and their family needs, whether they are a patient of ours or under someone else’s care. We offer a variety of courses that are held face to face and virtually.

All of our courses are planned and facilitated by our team of clinical or community specialists and include a range of learning approaches including theory, discussion, reflection and participation.

Kent & Medway Collaborative logo collage

The Kent and Medway collaboration - providing online training for professionals involved with palliative or end-of-life care.

The Kent and Medway collaboration is between ellenor, Heart of Kent Hospice, Pilgrims Hospice, Hospice in the Weald and Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. The collaborative was formed during COVID, when there was an urgent need for Palliative and end of life training. These sessions were delivered remotely to health care workers across Kent and Medway.

Due to the success of the collaborative, we continue to receive funding to deliver remote teaching and some face to face courses all free of charge. These sessions are facilitated by the education teams at Heart of Kent Hospice, ellenor and KCHFT.
