Caring For You
At Heart of Kent Hospice we put you at the heart of your care.

We understand a referral to our charity can leave you and your loved ones with many questions.
Rest assured our team of nurses, doctors, healthcare professionals, colleagues and volunteers are here to help you maintain your health and wellbeing to live as comfortably and independently as possible, for as long as you are able. Every one of our patients is different and their needs and concerns are individual to them.
This is why we tailor our hospice care and support to your specific circumstances and take an all-encompassing approach to your needs, whether they are physical, emotional, spiritual or social.
Our care is powered by the kindness of local people, so you don’t have to pay a penny to access it.
I think what it would help people to know is that the hospice isn’t about dying, it’s about enabling you to live with the time that you’ve got left.
How can I be referred?
Your referral may come from your GP or district nurse, from the hospital via your medical team, from a care worker or other healthcare professional. You can even refer yourself or ask a family member to do it for you.

Compassionate Neighbours
Are you affected by serious illness, elderly, or do you care for a loved one who is? The Compassionate Neighbours project aims to tackle social isolation and loneliness for those living with a terminal illness or frailty.
You'll get paired up with a volunteer who has similar interests, then get to know each other and decide how to build your friendship together. They'll be a listening ear, great company, and a bit of sunshine to brighten up your week.
