Every life is special and unique, making a donation in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to celebrate their life. You could create a lasting tribute where you can add thoughts and reflections as well as sums of money that have been donated in their name. If you are considering making a donation to us in memory of someone, we are truly grateful for thinking of us at a difficult time. You may wish to request donations in lieu of flowers or attend one of our remembrance events. With the donations you provide you are enabling us to provide compassionate end-of-life care and support to other patients and families now and in the future.

Funeral donations
Many families and friends choose to ask for donations to be given instead of flowers when organising a memorial or funeral service for a loved one. It is a thoughtful tribute to their memory, while also supporting a local charity.
If you would like to give funeral donations to Heart of Kent Hospice, we can help you or your funeral director to arrange the collection, including providing personalised envelopes or tins to help.
Our specially designed funeral envelopes have space to write your loved one’s name and include a section for Gift Aid, ensuring that we can claim an additional 25p in the £1 from donations.

Create a Much Loved tribute page
Having an online tribute page in the name of your loved one is an incredibly special way to remember, celebrate and share their life whilst raising precious donations in their memory to support Heart of Kent Hospice.
Your Much Loved tribute page can help you to express, keep and display valuable personal memories and thoughts about your loved one. Your tribute fund is a special place where you, family and friends can leave messages, share memories, ‘light a candle’ and add photos, videos or music. Setting up your page can be done online in a few simple steps and can become a place of comfort for you to visit at any time.
As the page owner you can choose who you share your tribute with, enabling it to be as private as you wish.
Create a Much Loved tribute page
Dedicate a leaf on our Memory Tree
Sometimes we need a lasting tribute to our loved ones that we can see and hold. Our Memory tree is a beautiful, hand-crafted, copper tree which sits in a peaceful area of the hospice gardens, surrounded by attractive trees, shrubs and flowers. Every copper leaf and flower on the tree is dedicated to the memory of a family member, partner or friend. They remain a wonderful and enduring tribute to those lives we want to remember and celebrate.
For a donation, you can dedicate one of these lasting mementoes to someone you hold dear, whether they have been a patient with us or not. The leaf or flower will be engraved with their name and placed on the tree, which you can visit as often as you wish.
You will have the choice of placing your leaf or flower on the Memory tree for one, two or five years, after which time we will send it to you in a special presentation box. Or if you prefer we can arrange to send your newly engraved leaf or flower to your home, to keep where it can be seen and held every day.
