Mindful Employer is a national initiative supporting employers to take a positive approach towards mental health at work.
As an employer we recognise that in the UK, people experiencing mental ill health continue to report stigma and discrimination at work. Having signed the ‘Charter for Employers Positive about Mental Health’, we are committed to creating a supportive and open culture, where colleagues feel able to talk about mental health confidently, and aspire to appropriately support the mental wellbeing of all staff.

It is both inspirational and rewarding working for Heart of Kent Hospice. You are given the opportunity to grow and develop in your role and encouragement is given to take part in cross-department projects. It is very special seeing and meeting those who benefit directly from the support the hospice provides.

Volunteering
We’re always on the look out for volunteers who want to give back to our community
There are many reasons why our volunteers get involved in the hospice. For some it is about giving back to the community and for others, it is their special way of saying thank you to the hospice for the care of a loved one.
