Big hearted community support for Maidstone United’s FA cup hopes
Our Hospice shops have come together to support the mighty Stones who are through to the fourth round of the FA cup and playing Ipswich on Saturday 26th January.
The Coxheath shop in particular has gone all out with a huge window display showcasing Maidstone United memorabilia and displaying Heart of Kent Hospice support of the team through the next round.
BBC breakfast came down to the Coxheath shop before match day to see the community support and captured some words from the local community.
We’re big supporters of Maidstone United and I actually took my son to the 2nd round match against Barrow, but missed out on tickets for the 3rd round. It’s incredibly exciting for the team and for Maidstone.
Maidstone United FC have been big supporters of the Hospice, donating a proportion of fees on tickets sales, letting us use the facilities for charity football matches and half time Santa dashes at Christmas and use of their facilities. We’re reliant on our local community for support to enable us to run our outstanding hospice care services and we’re so grateful to Maidstone United for their unwavering support over many years. It is our turn to support Maidstone United now and we, along with the whole of the Maidstone community are right behind them!
Everyone at Heart of Kent Hospice wishes Maidstone United every bit of luck for the match, come on your Stones!
