Blooming Green opens to raise funds for Heart of Kent Hospice

Join the gardening team at Blooming Green on 14 June 2025 for an exclusive pre-season fundraising event at this amazing hidden gem located at Loddington Farm in Maidstone.

The day offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the beauty of a field full of flowers before it opens to the public for the 2025 picking season!

Co-founder of Blooming Green Jen Stuart-Smith said: “Amongst our small team, we have all had incredibly positive experience of the hospice… A ‘positive experience’ almost seems counter-intuitive, given the often sad circumstances in which the hospice’s help is needed. However — from the palliative care of elderly family members, young friends, at-home care and grief counselling — we have experienced the hospice’s amazing services in many different ways. We, our friends and family are eternally grateful, so if we can raise some extra funds for this brilliant cause we will! Donating a share of our PYO flower sales seemed like the perfect way to do this.”

Enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of something nice as you wander around the field at your leisure admiring the stunning array of seasonal blooms.

Don’t miss the opportunity to book onto one of the popular tours to learn about sustainable floriculture from the Blooming Green team, before choosing and picking a few blossoms to take home. Each tour will last approximately thirty minutes.

Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult, with the opportunity to pick their flowers in a glass jar too!

As well as event tickets, 20% of proceeds from all Pick Your Own (PYO) flower bouquets purchased during this event will go to the hospice.
