Chief Executive Rachel Street takes on the Kent Downs 50k Ultra Challenge

Chief Executive Rachel Street is taking on an incredible challenge in aid of the Hospice - the Kent Downs 50k Ultra Challenge! This event, run by Action Challenge, is a new end of season Ultra Challenge® in the ‘Garden of England’.  The 50km looped route heads anticlockwise around the Kent Downs – starting on the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, around picturesque Aylesford, and following the River Medway to Mote Park at halfway. It then heads along the Len Valley Walk to the majestic Leeds Castle, then the North Downs Way back to the showground finish line and celebration. We think you will all agree, this is an almighty challenge! 

Rachel said "Heart of Kent Hospice is incredibly important to me, to our colleagues, volunteers and of course to our community and those living with terminal illness that we support and care for. 

I was spurred on to do something to raise vital funds for the Hospice, when I experienced how wonderfully and compassionately my colleagues cared for a friend of mine earlier this year, who died far too young, leaving behind her beautiful young family. I wanted to do something in her memory. And I love a challenge - as did Amelia.
