Community rallies to support us after Shaun sculpture damage

At the start of this week, two of our Shaun sculptures were removed from the trail following irreparable deliberate damage which will sadly mean Heart of Kent Hospice will lose out on vital funding as they can no longer be auctioned at the end of the trail. We have been overwhelmed with messages of support from the local community and many people have contacted us asking how they can help.

Erica Snow, Project Manager, says “The Hospice team have worked on the Shaun project for two years. We feel a deep connection to each sculpture and the damage has affected the whole team. However, our spirits have been lifted by everyone who has rallied to offer us words of support and encouragement.

Many individuals and local businesses have contacted us to donate to the Hospice and ask how they can help. There has been a real show of strength and unity from everyone who has enjoyed our trail, and it serves as a reminder that together a community can make such a positive impact on the world around them. The mindless acts of a few individuals has not dampened the kindness and positivity of the many. Thank you.”
