Compassionate Neighbours come together for a crafting extravaganza

Compassionate Neighbours decorating the big O

The Compassionate Neighbour project was launched in Heart of Kent Hospice in January 2020 to tackle social isolation and loneliness for those living with a life-limiting illness or frailty in Maidstone, Tonbridge and Malling and surrounding towns and villages. Our Compassionate Neighbours came together for a day of creativity and crafting to decorate a giant 'O' which will join other letters from Compassionate Neighbours groups across the country to form the word "Compassionate".

It really was a wonderfully creative morning with lots of chatter, laughter, tea and cake added to the mix.  The design focuses on our flagship seasonal events: Bluebell Walk, Sunflower Appeal, Moonlit Walk and Light up a Life.
