The Bluebell Walk is such a special way to remember loved ones and celebrate the care they received from the Hospice, whilst raising funds to enable us to continue to provide outstanding care to the growing number of local people that need us now and in the future.

One of our supporters describes her walk perfectly when she said ‘I loved the Bluebell Walk, the sunshine, the peacefulness and the bird song. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning, there is no better way to reflect and remember.'

It's wonderful that Alessia is helping to raise money for the Hospice. The support and comfort we provide to the families we care for means so much to them, and they are all incredibly brave. We treat everyone like they are part of our family here at the Hospice. I have even convinced my colleagues to watch and support women's football. We are all very proud of Alessia.

We are enormously grateful to all of our new and returning artists that have donated fabulous pieces of art all contributing to a diverse auction collection. In 2022 this wonderful event raised over £21,500 for our Hospice and we’d love to exceed this target!

It is wonderful to be performing at this exciting and unique event to raise funds for such an important cause. The concert is fun for everyone taking part, and we are looking forward to playing some special pieces, making the evening an experience that can make a real difference!

At Heart of Kent Hospice we are deeply aware of the power of memories.  We know that nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we are able to remember it. When we tell our stories about people we love, or of events that happened in our lives, we can revisit time and place, and we bring to life again those people we can no longer see or touch. The past does not die, but lives in our hearts and our minds, in the way we live our lives and in the stories we tell.

This year we will once again have wooden sunflower memory markers, each one can be used to name a loved one as part of our remembrance event, and they can be displayed in the beautiful hospice garden or taken home for your own use.

“From experienced athletes to families looking for a family friendly fun run, the Maidstone Road Run has something for everyone.

“We are always so grateful to all our runners who sign up to take part in one of Heart of Kent Hospice’s most popular and important fundraising events. Last year we saw runners of all ages and abilities take part in our charity run for the Hospice and it’s lovely to see so many runners take up the challenge in memory of their loved ones. We hope 2025 will be our best year yet!”

Hospice events manager talks into a microphone on stage at Moonlit Memories Walk

I was heartened to see such an amazing turnout at the Moonlit Memories Walk on Saturday! A heartfelt thank you to the 375 participants who walked our new route with their friends and families, honouring the memory of their loved ones. I am incredibly grateful to all our supporters and volunteers for their dedication, helping us raise an extraordinary amount for Heart of Kent Hospice.

Each concert takes a whole year to plan but is worth all the effort to see so many happy smiling faces and to know we have helped the Hospice a little bit in their amazing work. I would like to thank all the musicians who have taken part, all the teams from the Hospice for making everything run smoothly and the audiences for supporting us over the last 10 years.

A dog and some people walking through ancient woodland full of bluebells

I’m taking part in the Bluebell Walk to raise money for Heart of Kent Hospice. My son James has brain cancer and I want to show my gratitude to the hospice team for everything they are doing for him and for us as a family. They are giving us peace of mind and the utter trust that they’ll look after our boy.
