Gift in Kind donations help us raise vital funds for our services.

Making a Gift in Kind donation can be incredibly beneficial to both parties involved. For the donor, it may be an opportunity to give away surplus goods that might otherwise cost money to dispose of. It can also reduce waste, and prevent the use of landfill.

It shows the company’s supporters and colleagues that they care about a local cause.

Their donations will enhance their Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.

Gifts in Kind are a tax-efficient way of supporting the Hospice. If a business donates goods, they can claim the cost of these goods in their business accounts.

For us as the charity, it allows us to acquire things that we need without costing us money, meaning we can invest further into our Hospice services. 

How can Gift in Kind help us raise funds more effectively?

In effect, any donation that leads to a reduction in costs is a good donation! Gifts in Kind can help save valuable resources and expenditure across the Hospice, resulting in even more money being invested into our vital work. This is called budget relieving Gift in Kind.

For example: if we budgeted a large expense for an item such as timber to build a shed and we’re able to secure the materials as a Gifts in- Kind, we’re relieving your budget with that material donation and that saves the Hospice money.
