National Careers Week 2025

3-8 March marks National Careers Week which aims to empower individuals of all ages to explore careers and make career decisions. At Heart of Kent Hospice, we encourage all colleagues to embrace inclusivity and support them to thrive in a compassionate, values led culture. Every one of our colleagues plays an important part in enabling us to give our patients and their families the best possible care.
As an employer we recognise that in the UK, people experiencing mental ill health continue to report stigma and discrimination at work. Having signed the ‘Charter for Employers Positive about Mental Health’, we are committed to creating a supportive and open culture, where colleagues feel able to talk about mental health confidently, and aspire to appropriately support the mental wellbeing of all staff. We are proud to be a Mindful Employer and Disability Confident Committed.
In this video interview, we hear from three hospice colleagues about what keeps them motivated and what it is like working here.
