On 28 June 2024, a small team of Heart of Kent Hospice colleagues and the expert logistics team at Gallagher Group embarked on an epic quest to install 52 large Shaun sculptures in and around Maidstone. All the sculptures were gathered, cleaned and buffed ready to hit the town then delivered safely to their new locations via a network of flatbed lorries, cranes, forklifts and so on. One they were in place, our team set about tidying them and fixing the information plaques to the sides of the concrete plinths on which they stand. It was fantastic to watch the people of Maidstone react as lorries passed them by with 10 giant Shaun the Sheep in tow!
