Tickets are now available for the 2025 Maidstone Road Run which is a chip timed closed-road running race around Linton and Boughton Monchelsea. Everyone who signs up to race will be raising vital funds for our Hospice, which provides free palliative care to people with terminal illnesses in and around Maidstone in Kent. The 2025 running event will take place on Sunday 2 March 2025 and will include a 10k, 5k, and family fun run.
All runners will depart from Cornwallis Academy and will set off in stages. Registration is at 9am and there is a 10-minute warm up session from 9.20am for the 10K and at 9.50am for the 5K. This is a chip timed race.
The popular 1K Family Fun Run is perfect for anyone, including younger runners, who are looking to complete a shorter distance. The 1K Fun Run takes place on site at Cornwallis Academy and anyone deciding to come in fancy dress will be in with a chance to win a prize for best costume! All runners will receive a special finishers medal.
Hospice volunteers and South East 4x4 marshals will be on hand along the routes to make sure the event runs smoothly and safely as runners enjoy the routes along country roads around Linton, Boughton Monchelsea and surrounding villages.

Last year we saw runners of all ages and abilities take part in our charity run for the Hospice and it’s lovely to see so many runners take up the challenge in memory of their loved ones. We hope 2025 will be our best year yet!”
10K run
Take on the 10k route through the beautiful rural villages of Maidstone. A wonderful run for intermediate runners and those wanting to challenge themselves. This run starts at 9:30am. Adult entry is £30 but if you pledge to raise £100 or more in sponsorship for the Hospice entry is just £15 and you will receive a Maidstone Road Run Running Vest.
5K run
Taking in part of the half marathon and 10k routes this is a perfect yet challenging run for all abilities. This run starts at 9:20am. Adult entry is £20 but if you pledge to raise £100 or more in sponsorship for the Hospice entry is just £10 and you will receive a Maidstone Road Run Running Vest.
Family Fun Run
Perfect for younger runners the 1k Family Fun Run takes place on site at Cornwallis Academy. Come in your favourite fancy dress and run, walk, skip or hop your way to the finish line. This run starts at 10am. Entry £5 per person.
Anyone not taking up the sponsorship option can choose to purchase a Maidstone Running Vest for £13.
