Help raise funds for the Hospice by signing up to our annual ‘Bluebell Walk’ which will take place this year on Sunday 30 April 2023.
The ‘Bluebell Walk’ attracted 1,092 walkers last year and we hope many more will sign up to take part this year and make it our best walk yet! The annual event see’s walkers of all ages enjoy a ramble through the Kent countryside while enjoying the beautiful bluebell vistas.
The Bluebell Walk follows a picturesque leisurely six-mile ramble taking you amongst the stunning bluebells and through enchanting woodland on the North Downs.
Walkers will be offered an additional route on the North Downs Way which bypasses the stiles at Lower Dean Farm. A decision on which route to take can be made whilst on the walk. Both routes take walkers amongst the beautiful bluebells and woodland and cold drinks at the two-mile mark, four-mile mark and picnic spot. The Field of Memories features at the picnic spot where you can remember a loved one.
Parking is available at the public field a few minutes away from the walk starting point at Harrietsham Village Hall.
All ages are welcome to take part in the Bluebell Walk but buggies and wheelchairs are not recommended due to uneven terrain and stiles to cross. Dogs on leads are welcome but please note that larger dogs may find it difficult to cross some of the stiles on the route and may therefore need to be carried over. Refreshments and toilets are available before and after your walk at Harrietsham village hall and there is a portaloo provided.
Walkers will set off in 30 minutes waves which can be selected when booking. Waves run from 8:00am until 11:00am:
