Our annual Light up a Life appeal is one of the most poignant and meaningful events in our Hospice calendar.
In years past our remembrance services in November and December at the Hospice and at The Friars in Aylesford have been the focal point of our appeal. Both services offered the chance to come together during the festive period to reflect and remember our loved ones, share memories, and enjoy the beautiful seasonal music and readings.
Unfortunately this year due to the current restrictions we were unable to hold our normal remembrance services. We did however film a short virtual remembrance service, which we hope will give you all a chance to pause and remember your loved ones in a safe and secure way. We would like to invite you to remember the life of your loved one and the bond you shared by dedicating a special star to them and making an online donation here. This is a special way to commemorate their life, while helping other local families like yours needing the Hospice’s support this Christmas.
You don’t have be connected to the Hospice to take part in Light up a Life. It is for anyone who wants to remember the important people they have lost. As we near the end of a very difficult year, it seems that not being able to spend as much time with the people we love has made us reflect even more keenly on those no longer with us.
