Remembrance and reflection have always played an important part of life here at Heart of Kent Hospice and our annual Sunflower Appeal offers the opportunity for us all to join together and pause to remember our loved ones.
Once again in 2021 we had to come together virtually to share a quiet time of reflection and remembrance led by our Spiritual Lead, Sylvia Rothschild. You can watch the service again on the right of this page. Our appeal raised over £11,000 which could pay for two days of care on our Inpatient Unit; enabling our specialist team to help patients to manage their symptoms before returning home, or if they choose, enabling them to die with dignity within the comfort and security of the Hospice.
In 2022 we are hopeful that we will be all be able to come together again in our beautiful Hospice garden to share those all-important memories of our loved ones and reflect on summers gone by, joined by our collective love and admiration for the support of the Hospice and each other. Please do pencil in Saturday 11 June for our remembrance service and we will post further updates early in 2022.
