Each year our springtime Sunflower Appeal offers the community an uplifting and positive way to pay tribute to the life of a loved one, whilst supporting our work with local people living with a terminal illness.
This year, due to the current coronavirus restrictions we have had to change the format of our Sunflower Appeal and sadly cannot invite you to come into the beautiful Hospice garden for our remembrance service. However, we know how important remembrance and reflection are and recognise that the service provides a great deal of comfort to you all. Therefore, we would like to invite you to support our appeal and join our virtual service on Saturday 13 June at 11:00am.
The service will stream on our Facebook and YouTube platforms and will give us all the opportunity to come together and share a quiet time of remembrance and reflection. We do hope that you will be able to join us and donate to our Sunflower Appeal. Last year we raised over £14,000.
Every pound that is donated will help to ensure our team can continue to meet the unprecedented demand for our outstanding care.
In previous years, the names of those who have been remembered have been lovingly written onto colourful sunflower markers and displayed in the Hospice garden. Instead this year we have designed a bookmark which you can download and write your own message of dedication to your loved one. The bookmarks will receive a blessing during our virtual service. You can download your bookmark here.
To donate online please visit our sunflower garden to plant a virtual sunflower, leave a personal message and photographs of your loved ones.
