Our summer Sunflower Appeal is an uplifting and positive way to pay tribute to the life of a loved one.
Every year we invite you to remember your loved one by dedicating a colourful sunflower plaque in their memory, in return for a donation to our work. The dedicated sunflowers are then handwritten with their name and displayed with others in the Hospice garden for families and friends to visit and take with them.
We mark our Sunflower Appeal by hosting a remembrance service at the Hospice once a year. This year it was held in June and members of the community, together with colleague and volunteers, spent time with each other reminiscing and sharing memories of their loved ones.
By dedicating a sunflower in memory of someone you love and making a donation to our appeal, you are ensuring the future of the Hospice and enabling us to continue providing outstanding care to members of our local community when they need us most.
We will have more information about the 2020 Sunflower Appeal at the beginning of next year. If you choose to come to our 2020 Sunflower remembrance service, we look forward to welcoming you and sharing your memories.
