The Hospice Cup
Last Thursday, 28 teams and 112 golfers joined us at the stunning Chart Hills Golf Club for the return of our ever-popular Golf Cup tournament, and what a record-breaking day it turned out to be.
The heat soared into the 30s, but nothing could dampen the spirit of the golfers who came out to support hospice care. This was the biggest number of teams we've ever had on the course, and by the end of the day the auction, raffle and on-course competitions had raised a staggering £41,690.
The most moving moment came at the close of the auction, when the room was asked to support the first 24 hours of care. Many with personal connections to the hospice through family members gave generously, raising an incredible £3,600 in that moment alone.
