Community & Events Fundraising Manager (Mat Cover)

Hybrid - Aylesford, Maidstone (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
37.5 hours per week (occasional evening and weekend work required)
Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Are you an experienced fundraiser with a passion for events, community engagement and building lasting supporter relationships?

We're looking for a Community and Events Fundraising Manager to lead a diverse and rewarding fundraising portfolio. From delivering high-profile fundraising events and campaigns such as our Moonlit Walk, Bluebell Walk, Christmas Tree Recycling campaign and Golf Day, to growing community fundraising income, recruiting challenge participants and managing our Community and Events Fundraiser, you'll play a vital role in generating funds that support local patients and families.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will:

• Manage and support our Community and Events Fundraiser.
• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of our fundraising events and campaigns.
• Recruit, inspire and steward event participants.
• Develop and deliver plans to grow income from community groups, supporter-led fundraising and community partnerships.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, supporters, volunteers, schools, clubs, community groups and local organisations.
• Develop new fundraising opportunities and identify ways to increase participation, income and supporter engagement.
• Manage budgets, monitor performance and deliver against income targets.
• Work closely with colleagues across fundraising and communications to maximise engagement, participation and impact.

About You

You'll be a confident relationship builder with strong organisational skills and the ability to inspire and engage a wide range of supporters, volunteers and stakeholders.

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience in community fundraising, events fundraising or a similar income-generating role.
• A track record of achieving income targets and delivering successful fundraising activity.
• Experience of managing staff and/or volunteers.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities.
• Experience of managing budgets and using CRM systems.
• The ability to travel across Kent and work occasional evenings and weekends.
