Weald of Kent Golf Club Chooses Heart of Kent Hospice as Charity of the Year
We are delighted to share that Weald of Kent Golf Club selected Heart of Kent Hospice as their Charity of the Year for 2025, raising an incredible £10,865 in support of local hospice care.
A very special thank you goes to Keith Cleary, Vets Team Captain, and his wife Lesley, Lady Captain, whose dedication and enthusiasm led a fantastic year of fundraising activities. Their efforts included quiz nights, raffles, weekly football scratch cards, and participation in our 2025 Bluebell Walk - which alone raised an amazing £1,435.
This latest achievement adds to an outstanding £21,300 donated by the club over the past 11 years, demonstrating a remarkable and ongoing commitment to supporting local hospice care.
Keith and Lesley shared:
“It was a no-brainer for us to choose Heart of Kent Hospice as our charity for 2025. We were already aware of the great work the hospice does, but it became much more relevant as we lost two good friends over the course of 12 months. Unfortunately, neither made it into the hospice, but you provided much support and comfort to both families at a very difficult time. So, thank you for what you do.”
