How does it work?
Choose from one of our fantastic Solicitors and give them a call to make your appointment. They’ll then send you an information pack with all the essential details, including suggested donation amounts. This is only a guide. What you decide to donate is entirely up to you.
If I use this service do I have to leave a gift for the hospice in my Will?
Not at all. We appreciate every gift we receive as this helps us to continue providing specialist compassionate care and support for anyone in our local community with a terminal illness, enabling them to live in comfort, with independence and dignity to the end of their lives, as well as supporting those closest to them.
But there is no obligation or expectation from us.
What kind of Will can I make?
You will have the option of changing an existing Will or making a single or joint Will. Your Solicitor will be best placed to advise you on what would be best for you and your circumstances.
Where does my donation go?
Last year, we cared for 1803 patients and their families. For every £5 that we spend, we have to raise £4. Every penny we receive through donations and gifts goes towards the cost of providing the expertise, advice and support needed to achieve our vision, that everyone living with a terminal illness in our community will have the best quality of life for as long as they live.
“The whole process really was very straightforward, whilst strangely rewarding at the same time. We are so pleased that we were able to make use of the Hospice’s Make a Will month. We were able to achieve completing a Will, quite a scary prospect, whilst also making a difference and helping a charity very close to our hearts."
